Allstate and Rebuilt Titles – What's the Deal?

Hey all,

I’m considering buying a car with a rebuilt title and I’m currently insured with Allstate. Does anyone know how Allstate handles rebuilt titles? Will they insure the car, and are there any hoops I need to jump through?

I had a car with a rebuilt title insured by Allstate last year. They required an inspection and some additional paperwork, but it wasn’t too complicated. Make sure you provide all necessary documentation.

The insurance company I have, Geico, covers my damaged title car.

A car typically has a salvage title, which indicates it was seriously damaged, before it receives a rebuilt title.
