State Farm and aftermarket parts… any chance for coverage?

Most policies offer add-ons for aftermarket or OEM parts. Did you have that on your policy?

If I had that coverage and used it, could my insurer go after the at-fault driver’s insurance to recover the costs? That way, my premiums wouldn’t go up.

They could try subrogation, but even if it’s not your fault, filing a claim on your own policy could still affect your premiums.

Yes, I sent receipts along with comparable vehicles.

Most insurers only cover a small amount for custom equipment unless you specifically insured it with receipts. Usually, it’s capped at around $1,500.

I think WA state has a minimum property damage coverage of $10k, but I’m not sure if that includes the car or just other stuff. I’ll look into it more.
