What would be a cheap car insurance for my 19 year old son?

Hi there!

My 19-year-old son needs cheap auto insurance in Alabama, therefore I am searching for it. He has a clean driving record, no citations or accidents, and he leases his vehicle. When we looked into a local agency, the monthly quotation we received was over $300 with a $400 down payment, which seemed expensive. Online resources are also expensive.

Any advice on where to obtain more affordable rates?

Consider adding your son as a driver on your existing family policy as it often significantly reduces costs compared to getting him an individual policy.

You could check out AllState. In my days as a broker, they had college and teen student car insurance discounts.
If I can remember one of the qualifications required was completion of the teenSMART driver program

I second you on that @JULIAN, but how about Travelers, Average annual cost to add a 19-year-old to a parent’s policy is $1,348

Naturally, no. Although I am aware that I won’t find anything for $100 or even $150, there are less expensive options that individuals my age have completed. I intended to investigate those. Still, I appreciate your response.
