Is Hugo insurance good?

I bought an old Lexus LS 400 from 1990. When I enter the Vin number, Hugo tells me that the policy already covers it, therefore I’m trying to acquire insurance on it. What should I do then? I tried contacting support, but I got no answer. I am, incidentally, in Georgia.

I had the same experience. I told support exactly this when I got in touch with them. I am attempting to apply. My used car was purchased from a dealership. I am unable to register for insurance since it appears that the prior owner utilized it. Since the former owners are no longer the owners, shouldn’t their insurance be canceled?

I was instructed to send my vin. I was able to reapply when they removed it from the system after I sent it. Even though the prior owner may have used it and didn’t cancel, the money is still in the system and they aren’t paying for it.

This was effective for me.

Since you haven’t received a response from support yet, try reaching out again via different contact methods such as phone or email.

If Hugo tells you that the policy already covers your 1990 Lexus LS 400, it may indicate that the vehicle is still listed under a previous owner’s insurance policy.

It’s been a terrible experience. I got hit at a stop sign on 8/10/23, and my car was deemed a total loss. They picked up the car on 9/11/23 and received the title on 9/14, but I still haven’t received any payment. I can’t get in touch with anyone. When someone finally contacted me, they said Hugo policies take a long time to process because they’re not handled like normal claims. Never again.
