Is it possible to obtain an online quotation for auto insurance without providing all of your personal details?

I’m looking to compare auto insurance rates. Every major provider that offers online quotes requires all of your personal information, including your name, address, date of birth, driver’s license number, and so on. It’s not clear what they do with that information once you’ve received the quote. I’m looking for solutions that don’t require gathering all of that data. Thanks in advance.

No, they require your driver’s license information to review your record. If you have many tickets, your rate will be higher. It’s definitely frustrating.

Unfortunately, your location, age, and even your credit rating; or a specialized insurance version of it; are factored into calculating your costs. Providing this information is necessary to receive a quote.

I totally understand where you’re coming from. I had a friend who was in the same situation. He wanted to explore car insurance options without sharing too much personal info. He found an online tool that provided rough estimates without requiring all his details. However, when he chose a company and went through the final process, they still asked for all the usual information. It turns out that most places need complete details before they can give a precise quote. So, he had to go through the whole process after all. It’s a bit of a hassle, but that’s often how it works.
