My wife and I have roadside assistance included in our Progressive car insurance policy. I’m thinking about adding a AAA membership as well, but I wanted to hear if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences with Progressive’s roadside assistance before making a decision.
It wasn’t a positive first encounter using Progressive’s roadside help. Because everything is automated, having a true conversation is quite difficult. Nobody can assist you if you have a query. I will not suggest them to anyone as a result, and I want to move to a new insurance provider.
I am currently using Progressive’s roadside assistance and it has not been of help to me, I do not recommend it to anybody. It is almost impossible to talk to their customer care because they have almost everything automated so if you have an inquiry, there will be no help.
I am actually planning to get insurance from another company which offers better services.
@StephieStephie Can you kindly give me any info about AAA?
Progressive’s roadside assistance can be iffy. Some folks have good experiences, but others (like me once) waited forever for help. Their service is also kinda basic.
AAA is known for being faster and more reliable, with more perks like trip interruption coverage. If you and your wife need your car a lot and want the best help fast, AAA might be worth it. Progressive’s okay in a pinch, especially if you’re on a tight budget. Up to you!
Progressive roadside assistance might be a good choice for you depending on your priorities and budget. If affordability and convenience are your main concerns, it could be a good option.
