Short term or monthly car insurance?

I require auto insurance, and the majority of insurance providers now demand a waiting time of 15 days before the policy takes effect. I am looking at short-term coverage because I can not wait that long to get my automobile insured. Any recommendations?

A few ideas

Since I’ve had insurance for a considerable length of time, I haven’t personally encountered this. For an insurance company, this actually seems to make sense if you are a young or novice driver.

If it’s feasible, I would ask a parent or other family member to add you to their current insurance. They could probably add a driver to their policy for the same day or the next day.

If that isn’t feasible, it appears that you can obtain same-day insurance, but the full payment will have to be paid up front.

Finally, if you are speaking with an insurance professional, I would advise against using the term short term insurance.

It’s obvious that you haven’t watched the insurance industry lately. My credit card got taken, which is how I unintentionally lost my coverage. My long-term employer, with whom I have an impeccable driving record, was unconcerned. In the best of circumstances, you must wait 15 days. It lasted a month for me. They won’t utilize email to contact with you. Insurance firms are departing from California.
