Hello guys,
I’ve been hearing a lot about “full coverage” auto insurance but I’m not exactly sure what it includes. Can someone explain what full coverage auto insurance typically covers? I’m curious about:
- Coverage Details: What specific types of incidents and damages does it protect against?
- Cost Considerations: How does the cost compare to other types of auto insurance?
- Requirements: Are there any prerequisites or conditions for getting full coverage?
- Benefits: What are the advantages of opting for full coverage over other insurance options?
Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. TIA…

Minimum requirements for full coverage include collision, medical pay compensation, uninsured and underinsured driver liability, property damage liability, and bodily injury. Many additionally provide coverage for car rentals and towing/emergency road assistance. You can now add uninsured motorist property damage and personal injury protection coverage, depending on your state.
There are many more coverages available through riders, so always review your coverage with an agent to be sure you have the ones you need.

Hello! A full coverage auto insurance policy is not just one uniform policy. In the insurance business, it refers to a more generic phrase that characterizes a set of policies that offer your vehicle more complete protection.

There is not really a single kind of insurance policy that qualifies as full coverage. Within the insurance sector, this word is typically used to characterize a set of coverages that offer your vehicle more complete protection.
