Will allstate insure a rebuilt title?

I recently bought a car with a rebuilt title. Allstate insured my previous vehicle with a rebuilt title, but they are refusing to insure this one. What should I do?

I also own two cars with salvage titles that have been refurbished. My broker did convert us to Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company from Allstate, which is what I had. Although I have been using the same insurance agent for 15 years, I have never heard of this firm. It can be worthwhile to ask an agent to conduct a search for you if you don’t currently use one.

Allstate provides only liability insurance for cars with a rebuilt salvage title. Full coverage policy options are not available. Allstate offers attractive features, including a large agent network that can help owners of a rebuilt vehicle to understand their insurance options.

Look for alternative insurance providers. They may refuse coverage for your vehicle. While some companies might accept a vehicle with a salvaged title, they may only offer liability coverage without any physical damage coverage. However, some insurers might make exceptions and provide full coverage.

Oh man, which state are you in? In my state, Allstate changed its underwriting guidelines several years ago and now they can never insure salvage titles anymore.
